Fir needle essential oil
Fir needle essential oil has a beautiful fresh forest scent and is made by steam distillation from the needles. The scent is fresher than pine needle which is more woody like. It is definitely one of my favourite oils as it reminds me of the Finnish forest after the rain, the smell of fresh fir trees. In Nordic countries fir and pine tree products (resin and needle) are widely used in skincare and natural healing products and It is one of those scents that is liked by both men and women. Due to its fresh scent the fir needle essential oil works fantastically in shower and bath products as well as treatment balms and oils.

I absolutely love fir needle and other woody oils. To me they provide a connection to the nature and make me feel grounded. As I live in a big city this is very important to me as the opportunities to escape to the forest are limited. I created the blend Aurora especially this in mind and it contains the fir needle essential oil.
As always I would not recommend the use of essential oils directly on the skin or internally as they may cause irritation or allergic reactions.
